Larry Norman
Larry Norman was an American singer, songwriter, and record producer born as
Larry David Norman on 8 April 1947 in Corpus Christi, Texas. He achieved
professional recognition as a pioneer of Christian rock music, beginning his
career with the ensemble The Back Country Seven. In 1966, he joined the group
People! as the principal songwriter and vocalist; their recording of the track
“I Love You” (1968) sold more than 1 million copies. After relocating to Los
