Lamar Thomas, born in October 1975 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, is an American
rapper who began performing as a solo artist in his hometown before relocating
to Mannheim, Germany, in 1995, where he gained early exposure in local clubs and
won the HipHop Masters Germany contest in 1997. His debut single "Too Many
Nights" (1998) reached number 50 on the German charts. The following year, he
released the single "Shine (David’s Song)" (1999) featuring Jemini, which peaked
