L.E.J.
French trio L.E.J surged to popularity in 2015 on the viral success of a mash-up
of that summer’s pop hits, and later transitioned into recording their own
material. Comprised of singers Lucie Lebrun and Elisa Paris, with Juliette
Saumagne on cello and backing vocals, the three formed L.E.J (named for their
first initials) in 2013 in the Paris suburb Saint-Denis, and met with modest
regional success in their early years.
But it was the mash-up “Summer 2015” that launched L.E.J to global notoriety.
