Katalin Anna Sarolta Kovács, known professionally as Kati Kovács, and born on
October 25, 1944, in Verpelét, Hungary, is a singer, performer, and lyricist.
She made her stage debut in 1962 and her breakthrough came in 1965 when she won
the seminal television talent show Ki mit tud? in Hungary. The following year,
she achieved significant success with her performance of "Nem leszek a
játékszered" at the Hungarian TV Dance Song Festival. Kovács released her debut
album Suttogva és kiabálva in 1970 and her song "Add már, uram, az esőt!"
