Kokomo
Kokomo, a British funk and soul group formed in May 1973 in England, emerged
from the ex‑members of the pop group Arrival, notably Tony O’Malley and
Terry Stannard, who brought together a ten‑piece line‑up including Dyan Birch,
Frank Collins, Paddy McHugh, Alan Spenner, Neil Hubbard, Mel Collins,
Jody Linscott, Jim Mullen and Terry Stannard. The band’s breakthrough came with
the release of Kokomo in 1975, produced by Chris Thomas, which was praised by
