Kohei Sakama (performing as Kohei Japan and K.J.; born August 10, 1971) is a
Japanese hip hop emcee and producer from Yokohama. Sakama is the younger brother
of Mummy-D from the group Rhymester and co-founded the ensemble Mellow Yellow in
1993. While working as a professional chef in Kanda, Sakama began a solo career
in 2000 with the album The Adventures of Kohei Japan. The record included the
track “Hungry Strut”. Sakama released subsequent solo albums including Funky 4 U
