King James
King James, a heavy metal supergroup, was formed in 1993 by guitarist Rex
Carroll of Whitecross and vocalist Jimi Bennett of Sacred Fire. The supergroup
added bassist Tim Gaines and drummer Robert Sweet of Stryper, and issued a
three‑song demo that same year before signing with Star Song/EMI and releasing
their self‑titled album in 1994. After Gaines declined to tour, Sweet joined the
band for a 1996 tour; he did not appear on the next release. In 1997, the
