Kim Young Geun (born December 5, 1996, in Hamyang-gun, Gyeongsangnam-do, South
Korea) is a South Korean singer best known as the winner of Superstar K 2016.
Nicknamed the “Jiri Mountain Soul” for his heartfelt vocals and humble roots,
Kim gained nationwide attention for his emotional performances and inspiring
life story. Before rising to fame, he worked as a day laborer at a construction
site and applied for Superstar K multiple times, starting from season 3, before
