Kim Hoorweg
Kim Petra Hoorweg, known as Kim Hoorweg, was born on December 9, 1992, in
Utrecht, Netherlands. She began her musical journey with cello lessons but
transitioned to singing jazz after meeting Trijntje Oosterhuis at age twelve. At
fourteen, Hoorweg signed with Universal Music and became the youngest female
artist on Verve Records. Her debut album Kim Is Back was released in 2007,
followed by performances at the North Sea Jazz Festival and collaborations with
notable artists like Trijntje Oosterhuis and the Metropole Orchestra. In 2009,
