Kay Adams
Princetta Kay Adams, born on April 9, 1941 in Knox City, Texas, is an American
country music singer. She moved to Vernon, Texas at age 10. In the 1960s, Adams
began her career with songs like "Six Days a Waiting" and "Old Heart Get Ready".
She gained recognition on Bakersfield-based TV programs such as Buck Owens'
Ranch. At the inaugural Academy of Country Music Awards in 1965, she was named
Top New Female Vocalist. Adams collaborated with Dick Curless on the album A
Devil Like Me Needs An Angel Like You (1966). Adams released several albums
including Wheels & Tears (1966), Make ...
