Katy Bødtger, born on December 28, 1932 in Copenhagen, was a Danish singer. She
began gaining attention when she won the Dansk Melodi Grand Prix in 1960 with
"Det var en yndig tid", which she performed at the Eurovision Song Contest,
placing joint 10th. Her debut album Små smil i tekst og toner (1961) established
her name, followed by Med Følsomt Sind (1964), Lille Hiawatha (1970), and Lille
Sorte Stær (1972). Bødtger’s catalog includes singles such as "Skal Vi Klippe
Vore Julehjerter Sammen" and "To Skal Der Til". She passed away on May 1, 2017.
