An ophthalmologist and then an emergency doctor, Katia Guerreiro's passion for
Fado is her own. Her first album, Fado Maior, released in 2001, was heavily
influenced by Amália Rodrigues, and included texts by Fernando Pessoa and
Antonio Lobo Antunes. It was an immediate success, and continued in 2003 with
