Karen Souza, born on 10 January 1984 in La Pampa, Argentina, is an Argentinian
jazz and bossa nova singer whose career began under various pseudonyms providing
vocal support to electronic producers and recording jazz-infused covers of pop
and rock hits such as “Creep” and “Personal Jesus”. Her breakthrough came with
the 2011 release of the album Essentials, followed by the 2012 studio album
Hotel Souza after months spent in Los Angeles writing with Pam Oland and
