Karen Peck and New River, a southern gospel group based in Gainesville, Georgia, was formed in 1991 by Karen Peck Gooch, Susan Peck Jackson, and Rickey Gooch. Karen Peck Gooch joined The Nelons (formerly The Lefevres) in 1981 for a decade before forming her own group. Their debut album Karen Peck and New River was released in 1991, followed by Restoration in 1992.
