Kaori Kawamura, born on January 23, 1971, in Moscow as 川村かおり, was a Japanese
singer. She moved to Japan with her family at the age of eleven and began her
music career at seventeen when she released her debut single "Zoo" in November
1988. Kawamura's breakthrough came with the release of HIPPIES in July 1990,
followed by the single "Tsubasa wo Kudasai" in January 1991. She also ventured
into acting, making her film debut in Tokyo Kyujitsu. Throughout the 1990s,
