Kamaitachi was formed in Kyoto in October 1985 by drummer Ken-chan and bassist
Mogwai, later joined by vocalist Sceana and guitarist Kazzy, creating a visual
kei punk rock lineup that would become a staple of Japan’s underground scene.
Their first release, the single "Hachamecha Hime" in February 1990, entered the
Oricon Singles Chart at Number 14, marking the group’s breakthrough into
