Kaseem Ryan, known professionally as KA, was an American rapper born on August
11, 1972, in New York City. He grew up in Brooklyn's Brownsville neighborhood
and developed an interest in hip-hop at a young age, inspired by artists like
Slick Rick. Ryan began his musical journey with the duo Nightbreed, releasing
the single "2 Roads Out the Ghetto" in 1998. His debut solo album, Iron Works,
was released in 2008 and garnered attention from Wu-Tang Clan member GZA,
