Jacob Dodge Lawson, known professionally as JVKE, was born on 3 March 2001 in
Providence, Rhode Island. He began learning piano in church and later wrote and
performed songs for his school choir, developing an early interest in
songwriting and production. During the COVID‑19 lockdown in 2020, Lawson
