Jupiter Apple, born Flávio Basso on January 26, 1968, in Porto Alegre, was a
Brazilian musician. He began playing guitar in his youth and co-founded the rock
band TNT in the mid-1980s with Márcio Petracco, Felipe Jotz, and Charles Master.
The group appeared on the 1985 compilation Rock Grande do Sul, which featured
rock bands from Rio Grande do Sul. He later adopted the stage name Jupiter Apple
and released his debut solo album A Sétima Efervescência (1997), which was
included in Rolling Stone Brasil’s list of the 100 greatest Brazilian albums. He
