Jun Senoue, born 瀬上純 on August 2, 1970 in Matsushima, Miyagi, Japan, is a
Japanese composer and guitarist. He began playing piano at age three and later
taught himself guitar. After graduating from Aoyama Gakuin University, Senoue
sent demo tapes to Sega, leading to his first project arranging music for Dark
Wizard. His breakthrough came with contributions to Sonic the Hedgehog 3 in
1993. Senoue became the lead composer and sound director for Sonic Adventure in
