Julian Dawson, born on July 4, 1954, in London, is a British singer. He grew up
as one of seven brothers in London and Kent, initially studying fine arts at
Exeter Art College before focusing on music. Julian Dawson began his career
performing with various bands across the UK and Germany, using his own material.
In the late 1970s, he played with Iain Matthews' band Plainsong and worked at
Can's studio in Cologne. His collaboration with Wolfgang Niedecken led to
opening performances for BAP, and in 2013, he produced Niedeckens' album Zosamme
