Judith Anne Henske, born December 20, 1936, in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin, was an American singer-songwriter known for her powerful voice. She began performing in folk clubs in the early 1960s and gained attention with her unique blend of blues, jazz, show tunes, and humorous material. Henske's breakthrough came with her 1963 recording of "High Flying Bird", which became influential in the folk-rock genre.
