Joshua Ledet, born April 9, 1992 in Westlake, Louisiana, is an American singer
known for his soulful vocals. Inspired by Fantasia Barrino's win on American
Idol in 2004, Joshua Ledet began singing and writing music at the House of
Prayer Holiness Church. In 2011, he auditioned for the 11th season of American
Idol, placing third. His performances earned him 18 standing ovations, including
a duet with Fantasia Barrino during the finale. He released "Here to Die" on a
video streaming platform in 2013, which gained praise from Rolling Stone.
