Jorge Manuel de Abreu Palma is a Portuguese singer-songwriter and pianist born
on June 4, 1950, in Lisbon. He began his career in 1967 with the band Black Boys
and joined the rock group Sindicato in 1969. Palma started his solo career in
1972 with the single “The Nine Billion Names of God”, followed by “A Última
Canção” in 1973. He released his debut studio album, Com Uma Viagem Na Palma da
Mão, in 1975. His discography during the 1980s included Asas e Penas (1984), O
