George Kusunoki Miller, known professionally as Joji, was born on
18 September 1992 in Kansai, Osaka, Japan, and later became a singer and
songwriter. After graduating from the Canadian Academy in Kobe, he moved to the
United States, where he studied fine arts at the New York Institute of
Technology and began producing music; his early releases under the name Pink Guy
and later Joji included the 2017 EP In Tongues and the 2018 single "Yeah Right",
