Joi Barua, born Jayanta Barua in Digboi, Assam, India, is a singer and music
composer. His musical journey began at age four when his father gifted him a
violin. Barua's early breakthrough came through singing advertising jingles for
campaigns including Fiat Linea and Vodafone. In 2010, Barua and his band Joi
released their debut album, Joi: Looking out of the Window, which blended rock,
