Johnny Vicious, born John Coles in 1989 in New York City, began his career as a
club DJ in New York City during the 1980s, performing at venues such as Mars and
Palladium. He later founded Vicious Muzik Records with Jeffrey Rodman in the
early 1990s. His first commercial releases emerged in the mid‑1990s, including
the EP Liquid Bass EP: Volume 1 (1993) and the compilation Grind: All Night
House Music Party (1994), establishing his presence in the house music scene. In
