Johnny Moore's Three Blazers
Johnny Moore's Three Blazers was an American vocal group from Los Angeles that
was active during the 1940s and 1950s. The trio was formed by guitarist Johnny
Moore, pianist and vocalist Charles Brown, and bassist Eddie Williams, becoming
one of the influential groups in the development of West Coast blues and rhythm
and blues. They achieved their greatest success with the 1945 recording
"Driftin' Blues." The group followed with other popular recordings, including
"Sunny Road," "New Orleans Blues," and "Merry Christmas Baby." After Brown left
