Johnny McEvoy, born John McEvoy on April 24, 1945, in Banagher, is an Irish folk singer and songwriter. He worked as a graphic designer before starting a career in music. In 1966, McEvoy released the single “Muirsheen Durkin”, which reached Number 1 on the Irish charts. This was followed by the recordings “The Boston Burglar” and “Nora”, which also reached Number 1.
