John Pizzarelli is the son of guitarist John "Bucky" Pizzarelli, whose instrument he succeeds. Born in Paterson, New Jersey, on April 6, 1960, he followed his father's path rather than his other passion, baseball, and joined the quartet of his brother, bassist Martin Pizzarelli.
