John Bryn Williams, known professionally as John B, was born on 12 July 1977 in
Maidenhead, Berkshire, United Kingdom, and emerged as a DJ and electronic music
producer. He began producing at age 14, eventually founding the drum and bass
label Beta Recordings and its sub‑labels Nu Electro, Tangent, and Chihuahua,
while releasing records through Formation Records, Metalheadz, and Planet Mu.
His breakthrough came with the 1999 Catalyst EP followed by In: Transit in 2004,
