Joey + Rory was an American country and bluegrass duo composed of
singer-songwriters Rory Lee Feek and Joey Feek. Before forming the duo, Rory
worked as a songwriter, penning hits for artists like Clay Walker and Blake
Shelton. They gained prominence as third-place finalists on CMT's Can You Duet
in 2008, which led to a signing with Sugar Hill Records. Their debut album, The
Life of a Song (2008), debuted at number 10 on the Billboard Top Country Albums
chart and featured the single "Cheater, Cheater". The duo won the Academy of
