Jimmy Zambrano
Jaime Omar Zambrano Flórez, also known as Jimy Zambrano, was born on November 2,
1967, in Guamal, Magdalena, Colombia, and is a Colombian vallenato musician who
began playing under his father, Epi Zambrano. His early career included a 1993
recording with Los Clásicos and a 1995 stint as keyboardist with Los Diablitos.
In 1999, he joined Jorge Celedón’s ensemble, contributing to nine albums that
earned gold, platinum, and a 2007 Latin Grammy for the Vallenato‑Cumbia
category. After leaving Celedón’s group in 2012, he collaborated with Dubán
Bayona on the 2014 album Métete en el vi...
