Jimme O'Neill
James Hugh Vincent O'Neill, known as Jimme O'Neill, and born in Coatbridge,
Scotland, is a singer and guitarist. He started his music career performing in
folk clubs and releasing early recordings under the name Jimme Shelter. In 1984,
he became the lead singer of the Silencers, a Scottish rock band that achieved
success with their debut album A Letter from Saint Paul (1987), featuring the
international hit "Painted Moon". O'Neill has also written songs for artists
