Born on December 28th, 1989 in Killarney, Kerry, Jessie Buckley is an
award-winning Irish actor and singer known for her arresting voice and ability
to captivate on both stage and screen. She began her career on BBC TV talent
show I'd Do Anything in 2008, impressing in her role as Oliver Twist protagonist
Nancy and finishing in second place. This opened up a world of theatre
opportunities later that year she made her West End debut in a revival of the
Stephen Sondheim musical A Little Night Music. She went on to study at London’s
