Gloria Jeanne Black, born on October 25, 1937 in Pomona, California, is an American singer whose early exposure to television set the stage for her career. Black first gained national attention with a performance on Cliffie Stone’s Hometown Jamboree, followed by engagements in Lake Tahoe and Las Vegas that led to a collaboration with guitarist Billy Strange.
