Jeanne Barbey, born on June 15, 1977, in Paris, France, is a French composer
known for her work in religious music. She began composing religious pieces
after interrupting her history studies at the Sorbonne due to cystic fibrosis.
In 2004, she composed Te Deum pour Lagrasse to aid the restoration of the Abbey
of Sainte-Marie de Lagrasse, premiering it on January 15, 2006, in Paris.
Following this, Barbey continued creating religious works such as "Ave verum"
and "O Salutaris Hostia".
