Jean DuShon
Jean DuShon, born Anna Jean Harris, was born on August 16, 1935 in Detroit,
Michigan. She was an American jazz and R&B singer and stage actor who began
singing gospel in Detroit churches as a child. She turned professional at age 15
and began performing in local nightclubs such as the Flame Show Bar. Her debut
single, “Is It Wrong to Be Right”, was released in 1960 through ABC-Paramount,
followed by her rendition of “Talk to Me, Talk to Me” in 1961 on Atco. After
