Jay DeMarcus, born Stanley Wayne DeMarcus Jr. on April 26, 1971, in Columbus,
Ohio, is a musician, producer, and songwriter best known as a member of Rascal
Flatts. He attended Lee College and performed with Christian music group New
Harvest before co-founding East to West in the early 1990s. After moving to
Nashville in 1993, he transitioned to producing, collaborating with Michael
English and later becoming bandleader for Chely Wright.
