Jaroslav Filip was a Slovak musician, composer, and humorist born on 22 June
1949 in Hontianske Moravce. He studied at the Bratislava Conservatory and the
Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava, graduating in 1976. Filip achieved
professional recognition through a career-long collaboration with Dežo Ursiny,
performing on 12 albums over a period of 24 years. He worked extensively with
Milan Lasica and Július Satinský, recording the studio albums Bolo nás jedenásť
