Janita
Janita Maria Ervi, born December 28, 1978 in Helsinki, Finland, is a
Finnish-born, American singer-songwriter who relocated to Brooklyn, New York, at
age 17. She began performing at age three and signed with Reel Art at age 13,
releasing the single "Jos Jäät" (1992) and her debut studio album, Oma Planeetta
(1993). Her early work includes the single "Ready or Not" (1997) and the album
Believer (1997), followed by her self-titled album, Janita (1998), and her
