Jan Rot, born on December 25, 1957 in Makassar, Indonesia, was a Dutch
singer-songwriter. He began his musical journey in 1976 as a keyboardist for the
blues group Hollandscheveld and later as the singer-songwriter for Streetbeats
and Ratata. In 1982, Jan Rot released his debut solo album Single, which
included notable tracks like "Counting Sheep" and "Bobby, Roger & Eileen".
Throughout the 1980s and 1990s, he continued to release albums such as Rot &
