Jan Plewka was born on October 29, 1970 in Ahrensburg. He is a German singer,
musician, lyricist and actor who is considered one of the most influential
figures in German-language rock and pop music of the 1990s and 2000s. Jan Plewka
began his first musical projects in Hamburg at the end of the 1980s. In 1993,
together with Thomas Witte, Florian Glück, Stephan "Stoppel" Eggert and Marco
Schmedtje, he founded the band Selig, which was one of the most important
representatives of the Hamburg School and played a decisive role in shaping the
German-language rock sound in the 1990s. J...
