James Gilchrist
James Gilchrist, born on April 29, 1966, in Banbury, Oxfordshire, is a British
tenor renowned for his performances in recital and oratorio. A former chorister
at New College, Oxford, and choral scholar at King's College, Cambridge, he
initially trained as a physician before pursuing music full-time in 1996.
Gilchrist has performed extensively in the United Kingdom and internationally,
with a repertoire spanning works by Handel, Purcell, Vaughan Williams, Britten,
