Jah Lloyd
Jah Lloyd was a Jamaican reggae deejay, singer and producer born in 1947. Born
Patrick Lloyd Francis, he was also known by the pseudonym Jah Lion. He moved to
Kingston at age 12 and began his musical career in the mid-1960s as a vocalist
in the group The Mediators. His early solo recordings included the songs
“Soldier Round the Corner” and “Know Yourself Blackman”. In the early 1970s, he
transitioned into production, working with artists such as the Mighty Diamonds
