Jack Rose, born February 16, 1971, in Virginia, was an American guitarist based
in Philadelphia. He joined the noise/drone band Pelt in 1993, releasing their
first album in 1995. Rose's solo career began in the late 1990s with a focus on
acoustic guitar. His debut full-length album Red Horse, White Mule was released
in 2002, followed by critically acclaimed works like Opium Musick (2003) and
Raag Manifestos (2004). Rose's exposure increased with his inclusion on Devendra
