Jaakko Löytty, born on February 25, 1955, in Finland, is a Finnish
singer-songwriter and gospel musician. He spent much of his youth in Namibia,
where his parents worked as missionaries. Löytty released his first album,
Asioita joista vaietaan, in 1974. Throughout his career, he has released
numerous albums, including Toisen päivän iltana (1982), Laulu yhteisestä
leivästä (1984), and Helsinki-Dakar (1991). His work often incorporates
influences from Americana, blues, country music, reggae, and African music.
