James Victor Heinz, known professionally as J57, was born and raised in Long
Island, New York. He began his music career freestyling, battle rapping, and
beatboxing in high school under the stage name JLOG1C. In 2004, while working at
Fat Beats, he met the Brown Bag AllStars and recorded songs with the group. In
2008, he changed his stage name to J57 before the Brown Bag AllStars released
