J-Status
J-Status were a Jamaican R&B and hip-hop ensemble established in 2002. The group
consisted of the musicians Byron Barwise, Dru Barwise, Andrew Thompson, and
Orain Stewart. They achieved professional recognition for performing in a church
in Port Chester, New York, which led to a contract with the label SRP. Their
recording career began with a collaboration on the debut studio recording for
