Gaby Tiedemann, known professionally as Ixi and born November 4, 1962, in
Elmshorn, Germany, is a singer. She began formal music and vocal lessons at the
age of eight. Her career commenced after she met two producers at a party in
late 1981, which led to a demo recording of the song “Detlev” (1982) with Felix
Kautsky. Although the single was boycotted by German radio stations due to its
